New businesses always need some peer support, encouragement and advice. The B&NES Business Community is always keen to welcome new entrepreneurs and offer hints, advice, mentoring, courses - or just a listening ear.
Our Mentor/Mentee Matching Service works very simply: The entrepreneur requiring support or advice registers his interest and perceived requirements (e.g. branding, market research, etc.) by sending us an email. The request will be placed on the website.
Potential short-term mentors can respond to the requests by writing to us and registering the scope of their free advice/mentoring support - this information will also be placed on the website in due course. In this way we hope to build up a directory of mentors and mentoring support, complete with a reference system. This should be available in the coming weeks.
In response to feedback received we do not require your name if you wish to remain anonymous. We will not display your email on the website unless you ask us to.
What does the mentee gain from this? Peer support, encouragement and advice from experienced entrepreneurs. You gain the skills needed for successful entrepreneurship and employment.
What does the mentor gain from this? A measurable return on social capital - investing in the community where you do business can only increase your profit.
